We find the buyers and do the negotiating.

  1. 01

    Tell us what you have

We spend about twenty minutes on the phone. You tell us how the business runs and what software you use.

  2. 02

    We take it to buyers

We build a profile of your business and bring it to the buyers most likely to want it. Then we negotiate the price and terms.

  3. 03

    You decide

You look at the offer and decide. If you take it, we keep 20% of what the buyer pays you.

We get paid when you do.

Nothing to pay up front, and nothing to pay if no deal happens. If you take a deal, our fee is 20% of what the buyer pays you.

Common questions

This sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?

Fair question. The catch is that most businesses do not qualify, and there is no guarantee anyone makes you an offer. We only get paid if you get paid, so we are not going to waste your time or ours on a long shot. If we do not think you have something worth taking to market, we will tell you on the first call.

Are you selling my customer list?

No. Nobody is buying your customers, and a customer list is not what has value here. What they want is how the work actually gets done. Work comes in, your people figure out how to handle it, somebody makes a call, and it gets finished. Customer names and contact details get stripped out before anything goes anywhere.

Could a competitor end up seeing how we price or bid?

This is the one worth paying attention to, and it comes down to what the contract allows. Buyers are AI companies building software, not competitors in your industry. What they are allowed to do with it is written into the agreement, and we go through that with you before you sign anything. You should have your attorney read it too.

Could this get me in trouble?

The main thing to sort out up front is whether you have the right to license what you have. If your contracts with customers or vendors restrict it, then some of it is off the table. That is a conversation we have early rather than after the fact. We are not attorneys and we will not pretend otherwise, so anything you sign should go past your own.

We're not a tech company. Would we even have anything?

Probably more than you think. Most of what gets licensed comes from ordinary businesses like law firms, insurance agencies, accounting practices, contractors and property managers. If your office runs on email, a CRM, job files and invoices, and you have been at it several years, that is the raw material. It has nothing to do with being a tech company.

How much work is this going to be for me?

A call to start. If it goes further, somebody on your side pulls together exports from the software you agree to include. That is usually your office manager, or whoever handles IT. We are not asking you to install anything or hire anybody.

Do I have to give you passwords or let you into my systems?

No, and do not let anyone talk you into that. We never take logins, exports or system access. If a deal gets signed, everything goes from your systems straight to the buyer under their agreement. It does not pass through us.

What happens to my employees' personal information?

Names, contact details and account numbers are removed before anything is delivered. You see the scope in writing first and can exclude anything you want kept out. If something feels wrong to include, leave it out.

Do I lose my records? Can I still use them?

You keep everything. This is licensing rather than selling. It is closer to renting out a copy. Your business runs exactly the same the day after as the day before.

Do I have to pay taxes on the money?

Almost certainly yes, because it is generally treated as business income. We are not accountants, so run the number past your CPA before you count on it. Worth asking early if the amount would move you into different territory.

What does this cost me?

Nothing out of pocket, ever. Our fee is 20% of what the buyer pays you. No deal, no fee, no invoice.

Isn't this just helping AI replace us?

It is getting built either way, with you or without you. The businesses getting paid are the ones that moved early. And the tools that come out of it get shaped by how real operators actually work instead of how somebody in an office imagines it. In a few years your competitors will be paying a monthly fee for software built on this. You would rather have been paid to help build it than be the one buying it later.

How much could I actually get?

The buyer sets the number. It depends on how much you have, how far back it goes, how organized it is, and how many other companies could offer something similar. Published figures in this market run from the low tens of thousands into seven figures. Anybody who quotes you a number before looking at your situation is guessing.

Can I back out?

Any time, right up until you sign. You approve the buyer, you approve what is included, and you approve the contract. Saying no costs you nothing.

Would this hurt me if I sell the business down the road?

It is a good question to raise early, especially if you are thinking about an exit. Terms vary quite a bit. Some agreements are exclusive for a period and some are not, so it is worth looking at with your attorney alongside whatever else you are planning.

How long does this take?

The buyers set the pace and we do not control it. Generally a few weeks to a few months from first conversation to payment.

What if I'm shutting the business down?

Then you may be in a better spot than most. Companies that have closed are among the most active sellers right now, because those files have no other use. If you can still get into the systems, it is worth a call.

Still have a question? Ask it on the call.
